Into the Unknown

You are uniquely equipped to navigate the adventure of your life, including all the highs and lows and moments in between. However, that doesn’t mean that you have to do it alone.  During seasons such as the one many of us find ourselves navigating currently, it can be tempting to ‘go at it alone’ because we don’t believe that anyone could possibly understand our unique situation and that’s true.  But if you’re like me, you aren’t necessarily seeking to be understood, just seen and acknowledged for showing up for yourself and those you love the most while soaking in the warmth of a real human conversation designed to dive deep and shed some clarity on where you’re going and where you’ve been.  If that sounds nourishing to your soul, a healthy dose of encouragement and heart-holding are just a click away.  You’ve got this.  Travel on dear one, travel on.

Moving On…

It was nearly 18 months ago that I caught myself mentally packing up my belongings from the home that was our safe haven during one of the toughest, most challenging, and yet equally blessed and magical seasons of my life.  When I came to realize that I had been unconsciously envisioning myself packing everything up and assessing what I would keep versus give away, it took me a bit by surprise.  I had come to love this community that enveloped me and my girls with warmth and compassion and invited us in as if we had always belonged here.  In many ways, I never wanted to leave, and I may not ever completely leave.  A piece of my heart will always feel at home here, just as it started identifying this place as home many years before I ever imagined it actually would be my home.  But the vision made me realize a truth inside myself that I had been reluctant to admit, the time to move on was nearing and I better get used to the idea whether I liked it or not.

How to Homeschool YOUR Child

So you’ve decided to homeschool…now what?!

First off, congratulations! I believe that by choosing to create a unique learning experience for YOUR child, you are helping heal humanity, truly. But that’s a topic for another day. Second, I only use the term homeschool because it’s popularly accepted. I don’t actually want to recreate “school” at home and neither should you, so for the remainder of this article I will be using the terms learning adventure/environment and homeschool interchangeably. With that said, let’s get you on the right track to figuring out how to design YOUR child’s unique learning adventure.

The Heart of the Matter

The systems that we’ve bought into no longer serve us. Our kids, now more than ever, need the adults in their lives to do the inner work, realign themselves with their core values and the longings of their heart and then redesign their life so that our children have a better chance at developing into who they were naturally created to BE.

Are you ready to embark on a new path and start living the life you were created for?

Find Your Freedom

Have you seen the meme where the chick is stuck in traffic and crying with the text, “Me driving home from work knowing I’m only going home to eat and sleep so I can do it all again tomorrow”?  I saw it several years ago on Facebook and read some of the comments, many of which were either along the lines of “Same!” or “First world problem: Suck it up and welcome to responsible adulthood.”  Once upon a time, I would have agreed with both statements.  I felt like this every day for many years AND battled the guilt caused by knowing that I was very blessed.  I prayed almost daily for God to change my heart and align my will with His.  However, the feeling that something wasn’t right only grew. (Spoiler alert…it’s because so much of our modern way of life is completely against His will!!)

What is a Strategic Map?

The word plan can conjure up negative feelings such as constraint, fear of failure, loss of freedom and restriction on creativity. However, a MAP is symbolic of adventure, confidence, and clarity about the direction one is heading.

Director of Operations - Who We Are and How We Can Help YOU

At NEO Strategic, we like to think of the DOO as the CEO’s strategic thought partner. If the CEO is the “star”, then the DOO is like their “agent”, working behind the scenes to facilitate communication between the CEO and everyone else, protect the CEO’s time and energy, and provide strategic feedback so that the CEO can remain focussed on what she or he does best.

Make 2023 the Best Yet! - 3 Alternative Ways to Plan for Success

If you’re like most small business owners I know, you may be kicking yourself in the rear for not getting your annual plan created back in December. So if you’re feeling like you’re already behind this year, STOP, because you’re not! Don’t beat yourself up about it, because that seriously never helps anyone, instead let me help you look at this situation with a new set of eyes. Growth & Beauty in Hard Places

One thing that I’m learning about growth is that we don’t get to pretend to grow. We don’t get to shove our feelings and our truth down deep inside and still grow into the person that we’re supposed to be. We have to live out our truth and BE who we were created to be. We can’t pretend to be someone or something we’re not and we have to let ourselves feel the emotions that happen as a consequence, good or bad, of the choices that we make each moment of our lives. Some of those emotions hurt and others are wonderful. Feeling our way through the pain in our life isn’t easy and often it isn’t a pretty process either. (If you are a pretty crier, I envy you by the way!). It is however a necessary process. We either grow or we shrivel up. Either way, we are all eventually going to die. The real question is how we want to live; beautifully growing until the end or shriveled and wilted?
